about us

We are drowning in incredibly complex, wicked problems. The biologist, E.O. Wilson said it best when he wrote, “We have created a Star Wars civilization, with Stone Age emotions, medieval institutions, and god-like technology.”

Evolving beyond our stone age emotions and upgrading our medieval institutions is the most wickedly complex problem of our age. I would submit that the baseline problem is a mental one in that we humans suffer from evolutionary and cultural obstacles to our natural state of creativity and connection.

I have dedicated my life to fostering a new consciousness and a new collective leadership capacity so that tomorrow’s leaders can awaken to their true potential and meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

Humanity must awaken to a new story of why humans are on this earth. This new story is still developing and being discovered one person at a time. This new story is about cooperation alongside competition, about interconnection, not separateness, about diversity, not mono-cultures, about development, not continuous growth.

Our challenge is to wake-up to this new story. Or as the poet, Christopher Fry wrote in his poem A Sleep of Prisoners, “…..It takes so many thousands years to wake, but will you wake for pity’s sake?”

Through my research, development, and teaching work, I seek to empower people so they are better equipped to give birth to the new world as it struggles to be born. The American transformation will resemble that of the caterpillar into a butterfly.

As Vaclav Havel has said,
‘I think there are good reasons for suggesting that the modern age has ended. …..something is on the way out and something else is painfully being born. It is as if something were crumbing, decaying, and exhausting itself – while something else, still indistinct, were rising from the rubble.”

We are the ones who will create this new world beyond war, poverty and separateness, a world of peace, prosperity, and partnership.

This cultural transformation that is now underway is as profound as was the Renaissance and will likely take as long to unfold.

The forces of fundamentalist regression that are now appearing here in the United States and around the world are very strong and can only be effectively countered with innovative solutions and transformational leadership.
